Green St. ProjectThis house was a major remodel done in 2006. The house has a lightning control system throughout, TV's just about everywhere you can have them (including behind the master bathroom mirror for watching the news as you're getting ready for the day and enjoying while taking a bath after a long day) distributed audio throughout the house, and automated shades that block out the harshness of the afternoon sun, but still allow for the beautiful view out the back of the house.

*AVT did all of the High and Low voltage wiring in the house. The builder and home owner liked this as it meant a lot less coordination meetings, a better end product as all aspects were being designed and implemented by one company, gave the builder a greater sense of control and importance on the project, and allowed them to do the project for much less than hiring many separate companies and trying to hold several separate meetings a week.

2500 Steiner - Pacific HeightsThis project was the entire 7th floor of a 100 year old building in Pacific Heights. The owner wanted a dedicated listening room that he could also watch movies in. This was a lot of fun to put together for our designer and the finished product sounds amazing! The home owner also wanted the ability to have the main TV completely hidden when not in use.

This was one of the more difficult electrical jobs we have done as many of the room we had to break through tile and cut through wire mesh everywhere we ran wires. It was laborious, but it was much less expensive than tearing down all the walls and starting over.

The goal of this house was to hide the technology. The owners wanted the technology in the house, but didn't want to see it when it was not in use. There are TV's in many rooms in the house, a fully automated Homeworks Lighting Control system throughout the house, Automated Solar shades, distributed audio throughout, whole house phone/intercom system and easy to use remotes strategically placed in many rooms that can control any part of the system.

Though there are 5 TV's total in the house, they are only 2 cable boxes. The owners wanted to have seperate DVR's for them and their children. Both can be accessed from any room, and by multiple people at once. This gives them the ability to start a recorded show in one room and finish it in another.

Orinda Spec HomeThis is a Spec home in the Orinda Area.

We ran wires everywhere throughout the house to make sure the future home owner could have TV/Cable, Internet, or a phone where ever they wanted without the huge expense of having to wire for it later. When the Clients moved in they were very pleased that everything had been thought out and planned for in the construction phase as many of the other houses they had looked at had at most 25% of the capability as this one. It turned out to be one of the major deciding factors for purchasing the home.

Orinda RemodelThis was a major remodel of the main indoor and outdoor living spaces.

AVT does projects of all sizes. Around 40% of our work is in existing homes and usually incorporates one to three rooms.

1)In the first picture you can see the back yard/pool area where we installed accent lighting and speakers for the distributed audio.

2)In the second picture there is a rock speaker. It is the tan spot, near the base of the tree. Not only does it blend in perfectly, it sounds great as well. There are 4 total pairs in the back yard to make sure the sounds never has to be too loud in any one area.

3)In the third picture you can see the inside of the new main room that we did accented lighting, speakers in the wall, motorized drapes and a whole new home theater system including pull out rack and proper cooling and power management for the equipment.

4)In the fourth picture you can see what we normally do when it comes to in wall, or in ceiling speakers. No one like to see speaker grills more than they have to. We do best when people want the technology, but don't want to have to look at it all the time.
